California was wide open space while I was growing up during the 50’s and 60’s.

We played outside year round and summers were mostly free to explore the trails, hills, and beaches nearby. I headed east for college but was soon back in the western landscape of New Mexico as a fellow at Tamarind Institute. I’ve always liked working on paper, creating multiples and making art that is affordable, while using a light footprint of materials. Since 1980, I’ve had a studio here in my hometown of Los Angeles, starting with a loft in DTLA, then to Mar Vista, and back to Santa Monica.

I’m also a partner in Angeles Press where I’ve been privileged to see over 300 creative projects come to life.
